Working to prevent homelessness in Tarrant County one step at a time

The Tarrant County Homeless Coalition is dedicated to providing leadership in preventing homelessness. In the past two years we have experienced an 18.5% decrease in the number of homeless living on the street and residing in our emergency and transitional housing programs. Our progress must continue.

TCHC plays a vital role as the lead agency for the Continuum of Care for the homeless in our community. Together, we:

• Provide strategic planning, coordination, and interagency communication and collaboration to improve services for the homeless
• Provide the community expert knowledge and information on the condition, extent, and status of homelessness in Tarrant County
• Partner in the facilitation in the development of new permanent supportive housing
• Provide extensive training and support for nearly 100 homeless service provider agencies and 450 human services case managers, social workers, and staff

And most importantly, together, with our extensive talents, resources, insights, and expertise - we end homelessness!

Being a part of TCHC means you are invited to roundtable discussions, training opportunities, advocacy efforts, and community building programs. Members also elect the TCHC Board of Directors at the annual meeting in January.
