Committees

The Planning Council, workgroups, and taskforces provide planning and guidance to the CoC. These committees are comprised of board members, TCHC staff, and employees within the CoC.

  • Community Projects Review Committee: The CPRC will review and rank projects based on criteria established by the Performance Measures Workgroup and adopted by the Board of Directors. The CPRC will monitor progress and performance of CoC agencies on a periodic basis.

  • Performance Review Workgroup: The Performance Review Committee will develop performance measures that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of services for the homeless, meet or exceed HUD funding thresholds and reflect local standards of quality care, service excellence, and professional program management.

  • HMIS Workgroup: The HMIS Workgroup will be responsible for the on-going management of the CoC's Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). The HMIS Workgroup will develop and monitor performance of the HMIS contractor, establish goals and objectives for the HMIS, and implement the CoC HMIS Strategic Action Plan.

  • Discharge Planning Workgroup: The Discharge Planning Workgroup will work throughout the CoC to develop and implement policies that prevent homelessness and provide a coordinated system of care and connection to services of persons discharged from publically funded correctional, healthcare, mental health care, and foster care institutions.

  • Homeless Prevention Taskforce: The Homeless Prevention Taskforce will advise the Planning Council on strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prevention services and resources including Emergency Shelter Grant and Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Programs.

  • Emergency Shelter Taskforce: The Emergency Shelter Taskforce will advise the Planning Council on strategies to improve emergency shelter services and improve access to services to transition persons out of emergency shelters and into transitional and permanent housing.

  • Transitional Housing Taskforce: The Transitional Housing Taskforce will advise the Planning Council on strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transitional housing services for the homeless, with the objective to meet or exceed the HUD national objective for the successful transition of persons into permanent housing.

  • Permanent Housing Taskforce: The Permanent Housing Taskforce will advise the Planning Council on strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of permanent housing services for the homeless, with the objective to meet or exceed the HUD national objectives to increase the supply of permanent supportive housing and assure the stable housing of clients once housed.

  • AGENCY SERVICES COMMITTEE: The Agency Services Committee provides oversight to the Direct Client Services Fund and future web applications. This committee consists of 5 members from the Board of Directors.
