Case Manager of the Year
Each year TCHC recognizes the extraordinary contributions that
case managers give in ending homelessness and those individuals
dedication in making homelessness a rare, short-term, and
non-recurring event. The Case Manager of the Year nominees have
demonstrated excellence in their profession, made a positive impact
on the homeless, possess a passion for service to the homeless,
provide leadership in their organization, and creatively solve
problems and address the barriers to being housed.

Year Cindy Bell

TCHC would like to recognize this year's Case Manager of the
Year: Cindy Bell of Mental Health/Mental Retardation of Tarrant
County.
Cindy Bell was selected among 10 nominees at the TCHC Annual
Meeting Luncheon on January 19, 2010, for going above and beyond in
her work with homelessness throughout Tarrant County. With over 20
years of experience, Cindy demonstrates excellence through
consistent and intensive case management, which allowed individuals
to overcome barriers hindering them for many years. Cindy
"demonstrates a positive impact on the homeless and a passion for
services," as noted by an official from MHMR Tarrant County.
Cindy's willingness to meet clients' needs even saved one of their
lives. The community is grateful for her dedication to preventing
and ending homelessness in Tarrant County.
The 2009 Case Manager of the Year nominees are: Carrie Teal
(MHMR Project Lifeline), Cindy Bell (MHMR Project Lifeline), D'arcy
Drescher Moore (Union Gospel Mission), Davita Mumford
(Cornerstone Assistance Network), Erin McHale (SafeHaven), Jessica
Grace (Day Resource Center), Lucy Carrion-Barnes (The Women's
Center), Luke Robertson (Catholic Charities), Lydia Wills
(Community Enrichment Center), and Sue Mahoney (Samaritan
House)
All of the nominees are featured in a video entitled "Case
Management In Their Words…" available on TCHC's YouTube
Channel.
