Direct Client Services Fund
Part of Directions Home, this program is funded by the City of
Fort Worth, United Way of Tarrant County, and SITE International
Foundation. TCHC was selected by the United Way to administer the
funds to qualified homeless service provider agencies providing
direct services to homeless clients.
The purpose of the Direct Client Services Fund is to provide a
"fund of last resort" for direct services to people who are
homeless in the city of Fort Worth. While the funds are
intentionally flexible, eligible uses are restricted to goods and
services that are directly related to housing stability (access and
retention), employment, self-sufficiency, and access to health
services. These funds are to be accessed when no other funding is
available and the resource is not available within the Continuum of
Care. The program rolls out in June 2010 with limited back
reimbursement.
All current Directions Home and Continuum of Care Grant
grantees, subcontractors, and project sponsors are Participating
Agencies. The current funds, however, are for city of Fort Worth
residents only. As the fund develops, TCHC anticipates making funds
available for clients throughout Tarrant and Parker Counties.
The reimbursement process is strictly through the web
application under the member login part of our website, only
available to the agency's authorized user. Participating Agencies
should consult the Directions Home Direct Services Fund Program
description then email cjcrain@ahomewithhope.org
with any questions regarding the program. Other homeless service
providers who wish to participate must complete the Agency
Participation Application.
Direction Client Services Fund assistance is intended to improve
the autonomy of the chronically homeless in our community. Clients
must be enrolled in a program or participating in direct case
management services for the assistance to be eligible for
reimbursement. Eligible expenditures are categorized as critical
documents, employment and training, healthcare, housing/household,
and transportation.
The intent of this program is to serve as a "fund of last
resort." In order to maximize its impact, this program targets
populations that are not being served by other funds, such as HPRP
or ESG.
