Housing Inventory Database

The Fort Worth Housing Authority was a grant recipient of Directions Home and the United Way of Tarrant County's Housing Specialist position. Beginning in February 2010, the new Housing Specialist position serves case managers and clients by recruiting and organizing permanent housing opportunities.

Because the Housing Specialist will serve the entire Continuum of Care, TCHC's role was in the development of a Housing Inventory Database to rollout May 2010. The Housing Inventory serves our agencies and the general public in searching for emergency shelters, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing options in our community. The Housing Search adds additional searching options for clients with particular housing needs, such as assisted living, medical support, and types of amenities.

The Fort Worth Housing Authority's Housing Specialist serves as this database administrator. Authorized users can suggest changes to the Housing Inventory Database using the web application under member login. In the future, we plan for landlords to also have access to suggest changes.
