Homeless Prevention

These agencies provide homeless prevention resources to clients who are not yet homeless, but may be soon. If you are in need of this type of financial assistance or case management, please contact one of the agencies below.

Eligibility Criteria:

CALL TO BE ASSESSED FOR ELIGIBILITY

  • Tarrant County resident age 18 years or older
  • Legal notice  to vacate from a landlord and/or eviction documents from JP Court.
  • Willing to participate in case management.
  • Meet  income guidelines (at or below 50%median income by HUD standards)
  • Have no other housing resources available


Information needed for interview:

  • Valid picture ID
  • Social security card
  • Verification of residency
  • Verification of immigration status for all household members, if applicable
  • Proof of household income from all sources for all household members
  • Written notice to vacate from a landlord and/or eviction documents from JP court
  • Verification of earned/unearned income
  • Rental payment history from landlord
  • Current lease agreement
  • Current utility bills
  • Other documents may be required after initial screening
